Feel good about feeding your fix…
HeyDidYaKnow that world’s most attractive couple under 35, Scarlett Johansen and Ryan Reynolds, have reportedly gotten hitched. In a small ceremony this past weekend in a resort just outside of Vancouver, Canada, the ceremony was witnessed by a small group of family. Sources say, they are already expecting their first Pizza Place. In news of a more unique and volatile union, with the shifting of the Jewish and Muslim Calendar, we are now in the time of the year where the Muslims holy Ramadan and the Jewish Holy Month of Elul intersect. What makes this aligning of the holy holidays more interesting is how extensively both are celebrated within the Holy City of Jerusalem. Thousands of followers of both religions have flooded into the city to celebrate the holiday. And although within the walls of the city there has been no violence, the tension is palpable.

HeyDidYaKnow that Nicole Kidman, in an interview covered by my new favorite celeb-tastic blog the Lanalogue, is reportedly saying that she, along with six other women who swam in the waters of a small Outback town during production of the epic romance “Australia” became pregnant. Thinking it would never happen, she seems to be attributing her surprise fertility to the rejuvenating waters of the Land Down Under. Broken Condom, Australian for Planned Pregnancy. Here are some pregnancy statistics to get you through your day: as of 2006, teen pregnancy numbers were down 36% from its peak in 1990 (oh, the first Bush era… sigh); by 2002 the teenage abortion rate dropped 50% from its peak in 1988 (ah, the Regan era… sigh).
HeyDidYaKnow that genetic anomaly turned actor turned activist, Brad Pitt, has weighed in on the gay marriage debate in California. Donating $100,000 to support gay marriage and opposing the coming vote for proposition 8, which, if passed, would effectively ban gay marriage in California; California and Massachusetts are the only two states that allow gay marriage. And as America is moving in the direction of true equal rights for all citizens, here’s a little factoid for ya: the Netherlands was the first country to legalize gay marriage in 2001.

obviously not the only thing daddy’s money has put in her mouth…
HeyDidYaKnow Brooke Hogan has been sharing her keen political insight with the world AGAIN! We thought it couldn’t get worse after her first comment. But it only gets worse this time, dropping some jewels on us like: “Who’s that?” when asked what she thought of Sarah Palin. “I’m voting for God because he’s in the party of freedom, dude”. Wow. It’s a shame that steroids don’t cause sterility… sigh. But Brooke Hogan isn’t the only one that doesn’t know what’s going on in the world. Heard that the government has been pressed to take over Fanne and Freddie Mae Mortgage giants? A wholly unprecedented move in scale in America. However, what is most shocking is how China is involved. They have $24 BILLION invested in the mortgage giants. That means that the Chinese Government owns a significant portion of our national debt. Now that’s scary.

HeyDidYaKnow TMZ posted a great pic of Billy Ray Cyrus showing just how important it is for fathers to keep their daughters away from this poser-lech. Maybe, if Billy Ray watched this video before having Miley, we wouldn’t have to see another picture of a tired middle aged man desperately clinging on to relevancy by leeching off his daughter’s cataclysmic career. (seriously, watch this hysterical video)
And can you believe that there are approximately 450,000,000 Indians under the age of 18! That’s one and a half times more than the entire US population.

some call it laissez-faire parenting
HeyDidYaKnow that bored middle-american poor-parenting scapegoat, Britney Spears, had another round of misfortune when the pester-razzi caught the eldest of her brood exploring the end result of America’s earliest cash crop. Cigarettes; It’s just a celebration of what helped make America great people, get a hobby and cut this woman some slack. In actual news… in perhaps an unexpected proclamation of hope, for the first time in five years, Trains have returned to Baghdad signaling a strengthening of the city’s infrastructure.

HeyDidYaKnow 37.9% of divorced fathers have no access/visitation rights.
HeyDidYaKnow after admissions of an affair with a campaign staffer former presidential and vice presidential hopeful John Edwards saw his political aspirations go down quicker than an out of work truck-stop waitress with a broken down 1986 dodge omni 26 miles outside of Cleveland. Which, if memory serves me, is pretty fast. The former Senator for North Carolina does however deny that he is the father of the staffers child. All of this falls in line with statistics the say 50 to 65 percent of husbands and 45 to 55 percent of wives become extra-maritally involved by the age of 40. UH…Wowsers?!?!

HeyDidYaKnow 70’s part-time-celebrity John Voight has decided to hang up his acting chops for a new career… weighing in on his daughter’s personal life. Proving Anaconda wasn’t the highlight of his career, he told my distinguished peers in the press he was like totally shocked Angelina has such a big family because she “never played with dolls.” Ahem. In more substantial news, nearly 350,000 family abductions occur each year, which puts that at nearly 1,000 per day! Perspective much?
